Holidays Meals

HELP FEED THOSE IN NEED!

Our goal this year is to assist 1000 families with Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets. These traditional holiday baskets will include a turkey gift certificate, stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, green beans, gravy and more! We need your assistance to help us fill these food baskets.

You can donate specific holiday food or monetary donations for turkey certificates and food purchases for the holidays.

For food donations, please check out our list of needs on the shopping list button below.  Food can be delivered directly to us from HEB, Kroger, Walmart etc… or you can drop off donations yourself in the black bins on main street.

To donate towards our Turkey certificates and holiday food purchases click the button below.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed at our Joy to the World celebration on Saturday, December 9th from 2 pm – 4 pm. This year’s celebration will be held in the Sanctuary Lobby and Chapel.

If you adopt a family for Joy to the World your attendance at the actual celebration is optional. Adopting a family does NOT mean you will automatically be a volunteer at the celebration, but you are certainly welcome to volunteer.

We need volunteers to help decorate, check-in families, help at the craft tables, play with kids, help with snacks & drinks and clean up.

What is Christmas Giving?

With Christmas Giving you can “adopt” a family, foster children or provide a traditional holiday meal for those in need this Christmas. Can you give a gift that counts this Christmas?

  • Joy to the World – Adopt a Family with children.

This year we will be hosting our ESL families with young children. Our Joy to the World celebration will be held on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 from 2 – 4 pm. If you adopt a family, attending the celebration is optional. If you adopt a family and plan on attending the Joy to the World celebration, please make sure you sign up as a volunteer. All family gift cards need to be labeled and dropped off at the church office by Wednesday, December 6th, 2023.

  • Springing Hope – Adopt a boy from a local foster care home. Adopters may attend a Christmas party with the child on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, from 2-4pm. You have a $75 limit on gifts. Please bring your wrapped presents to the party. If you cannot attend the party, please deliver all of your wrapped and labeled presents to Claire Hevle by Friday, December 1st, 2023.
  • Holiday Meals – Every week our Restoring Hope Food Pantry feeds hundreds of families. During the holidays, we like to provided them with a traditional holiday meal.
