Day 1

“Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?” Luke 12:22-26

Stress and anxiety are everywhere these days. We are anxious about our present and with our futures. As if the anxiety of today is not enough, we borrow from tomorrow and pile it on as we worry about so many things in our lives. Whether it is employment, healthy, safety, or relationships, each of us is struggling with varying degrees of anxiety and trying to cope with it.

What’s your anxiety level like these days? Would you say it’s high, low, or somewhere in between?

These simple words form Luke 12 hold great power in our fight against anxiety: “yet God feeds them.” God provides all that we need to manage today’s anxieties. Take a moment to allow His Words to sink into your heart and mind.
