Day 2

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.” Psalm 94:19
Sometimes we’re very aware of how we’re feeling, but other times our feelings of anxiousness can fly under our radar. Here’s a list of some common triggers for stress and anxiety.  As you read this list, make a mental note of how many are pressure points you’ve experienced personally:
  • Stress at work
  • Stress from school
  • Stress in a personal relationship such as marriage or with children
  • Financial stress
  • Stress from global occurrences or political issues
  • Stress from unpredictable or uncertain world events, like the pandemic
  • Stress from an emotional trauma such as the death of a loved one
  • Stress from a serious medical illness
Psalm 94:19 reminds us that the consolation of God brings joy to our souls.  When we experience these pressure points it’s easy to forget that our greatest consolation is found in God.  Today, as you consider the pressure points for anxiety and stress in your life, return to God in prayer and find consolation in Him for the worries you’re experiencing now.
