Membership
Our mission at Trinity is to connect generations to the love of Jesus. We believe that we are saved by grace through faith—there is nothing we can do to earn our salvation, but rather it has been bought and paid for at Christ’s expense.
Since her founding in 1874, Trinity Klein Lutheran Church has a rich history directly tied to serving the people of Klein, both spiritually and physically. We began with just 160 acres and eight charter members who wanted a place to gather together in worship. Today, Trinity Klein has more than 2,000 members and the campus encompasses about 50 acres. From our origin as the social and spiritual center of Klein, Trinity remains dedicated to the planting of deep roots of faith and spreading the word of Jesus. Trinity is part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. To read about what the LCMS believes, I encourage you to head to the following website: https://www.lcms.org/about/beliefs
At Trinity, we disciple and care for people. We believe membership is a deeper step into care and discipleship through accountability. What does this mean? We are here with you! We will keep you accountable to the habits of a Disciple: worship, study of God’s Word, tithing and service.
If you feel it’s time to move into a deeper commitment to the ministry at Trinity Klein, this is your invite to take the next steps toward membership! In order to become a member, we require you to complete our Membership Matters study series. This series explains what it means to be a member of Trinity Klein Lutheran Church and these classes serve to prepare you to affirm your beliefs and your commitment to the work God is carrying out through Trinity Klein. Our next round of classes will begin Sunday, February 9th at 9:30a (Discipleship Hour).
If you would like to begin the membership process, fill out the below New Member Request Form and Register for the classes:
Baptism
We believe that Baptism “is explicitly commanded by God and has His precious promises attached to it. It is not a mere “ritual” or “symbol,” but a powerful means of grace by which God grants faith and the forgiveness of sins.” Baptism is a sacrament in which the water and the Word are combined and we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit. For more information on what the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod believes about baptism, visit the following link: https://www.lcms.org/about/beliefs/faqs/doctrine#baptism
We can do baptisms at any of the following services:
-Regular Sunday morning worship (either service, but opposite the communion schedule)
-Wednesday morning school chapel
-Wednesday Evening Discipleship Service
-Special Services (lent/advent, etc.)
All adult baptismal recipients and parents/guardians of infant or children baptismal recipients are required to attend a Baptism Information Meeting with one of our pastors prior to the baptismal date.
