Choose Your Verse

When selecting your confirmation verse you have two options:

• Choose your own verse, or
• Have a pastor select your verse.

If selecting your own verse, please be sure it is relative to the moment at hand. You are confirming the faith that was given to you in your baptism. This means that your verse should in some way connect to your faith and give honor and glory to God alone.

Below you will find a list of pre-selected verses that are wonderful options or examples of what we look for in a confirmation verse. All pre-selected verses below use the New International Version (NIV) unless otherwise noted. If choosing your own verse, we request that you limit your translation to either English Standard Version (ESV), New International Version (NIV), King James Version (KJV), or Christian Standard Bible (CSB).
