Day 5
Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling! Psalm 43:3
God reveals to us through Scripture His nature. As His light and truth is revealed to us, we begin to see God as the merciful and compassionate Father that he is. He is the one who provides for us in every spiritual way and offers us what we need most, an eternal life in Christ. But God also reveals to us the nature of our hearts. That they are sinful and burdened with worries and anxieties. But not everything that is revealed is negative. In fact our sense of anxiety can tell us a lot about what is going on in our life.
You may not have thought about it this way before, but what do you feel your anxiety might be trying to tell you?
Are you overwhelmed by a specific situation, struggling in a certain relationship, or do you experience anxiety when you are thrust into confrontation? Our anxiety can reveal to us some hidden truths about what and how we experience various things in our lives. By listening and paying attention, we can see what challenges are present and begin to take steps towards managing and overcoming those challenges.
