Financial Support
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Food Pantry was assisting an average of 2,600 people a month. Since COVID-19 we are seeing a 50% increase of families in need of food assistance.
Support from the community and other partners ensures that we never turn anyone in need away hungry. COVID-19 has caused a huge disruption in both supply and demand with our grocery partners and the Houston Food Bank. We are now having to purchase more food staples. Pre-pandemic, these monthly purchases totaled $1,500. Now we are purchasing $4,500 – $6,000 in non-perishable goods each month to meet the needs of our community.
