All through Lent, we walked in the long night. During Holy Week, the horizon began to glow. Now the sun has risen.

On Easter morning, the prophet Isaiah announces what the empty tomb confirms: “Arise, shine, for your light has come.” Jesus is alive. Death has been defeated. The glory of the Lord has risen upon His people.

Because Christ has risen, we rise. Because His light shines, we shine.

VIGIL
The Easter Vigil is the first official celebration of the Resurrection each year and concludes the Triduum that begins with Maundy Thursday, continues on Good Friday, and reaches its high point in the Easter Vigil. We begin in darkness as we enter the church with the paschal candle leading the way, and culminate in a grand celebration of the Resurrection by the conclusion of our time together. This service is longer than a typical service, but well worth it as we conclude our celebration of the Resurrection with Holy Communion. You won’t want to miss it! This service will be held on Holy Saturday, April 4th, at 7:30 pm.
